The 2020 Foster Care as a Support to Families, Not a Substitute for Parents Mosaic Video Series was developed by the Children’s Bureau’s Capacity Building Center for States.

This series has two suites of videos that each tell a family’s story from multiple perspectives and demonstrate how the connection and support between those involved helped lead to positive outcomes and strengthen overall family well-being.

LAUREN’S STORY – Portrays a court-appointed special advocate’s firsthand account of a family’s child welfare experience. This video emphasizes the importance of a strengths-based approach and wraparound supports.
