Ellensburg, Washington – The 38th annual Celebration of Hope event for Court Advocates for Children was a tremendous success! The event, which was held on Monday, December 4th, 2023, in the Central Washington University Student Union Recreation Ballroom, was attended by over 200 people who came together to support the important work that Court Advocates for Children does in our community.
The recent event held by Court Advocates for Children was a resounding success, featuring a range of activities that helped raise funds for the organization. The highlight of the event was the silent and live auction, which offered attendees the chance to bid on a range of items, from luxury vacations to exclusive experiences. The auctions were led by the renowned charity auctioneer and multiple Emmy Award TV host, John Curley, who kept the crowd engaged and excited throughout.
The event also featured an inspiring testimony by Executive Director, Sandra Bankston, who spoke about the critical role that Court Advocates for Children plays in supporting children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Bankston emphasized the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment for these children and the vital role that the organization plays in ensuring they receive the care and attention they need.
Overall, the event was a tremendous success, raising much-needed funds for a worthy cause and highlighting the important work of Court Advocates for Children. It was a testament to the generosity and compassion of the community, and a reminder of the power of collective action in creating positive change.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and attendees, we were able to raise over $100K to support Court Advocates for Children’s mission to provide trained volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children who are involved in the court system.
“We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of support from our community,” said Sandra Bankston, Executive Director of Court Advocates for Children. “The funds raised at the Celebration of Hope will help us provide much-needed support to the children we serve and ensure that they have a voice in court proceedings.”
